• Is the Estimate or Quote free of any cost to you?
• Will someone actually come out to my home and or business and review the current equipment set-up and determine the actual needs for replacement?
• Will a detailed estimate be provided? i.e. equipment capacity with energy efficiency, price options or levels of pricing, actual supplies and components that will be installed, part warranty and labor warranty are clearly disclosed, total cost disclosed, etc.
• Financing Options.
• Expiration date for the estimate cost.
• Customer Reviews – check out the HVAC Contractors online reviews and their Better Business Bureau rating.
• Do Not make a Down Payment! If you accept the estimate and approve the work to be done do not make a Down Payment. Pay Only when the system and or equipment is installed and working properly. 
• Lastly, get your estimates preferably when the weather is mild. You will get the best price and you will not be in in a high-pressure state of mind to get the equipment replaced immediately. This in turn will allow you to make the best decision and consider all your options.
